I'm just going to be blunt... Mormonism is a cult. They are not Christian, but a completely different religion disguising as Christian. The reason they say they are Christian is because they think that if you believe in Christ, then you are a Christian, when in fact this is not true at all, because Satan and his demons believe in Christ... but that does not make them Christians, now does it? You have to serve Christ, as well. Mormons don't serve Christ.
When Mormons come to your door, they will often offer a free copy of the Book of Mormon and tell you about its author, Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon from gold Plates of Nephi, he dug up in a hill in New York. This is supposed to confirm his calling from God as the new prophet on the earth in these latter days...
Let me give a little History on the Mormon Church before exposing their heresy. In 1821 a young treasure seeker named Joseph Smith claimed to have had a vision from God. Mormons claim that Joseph Smith was visited by Jesus and God the Father; but the Bible tells us that no man can look upon the face of the Father and live. Jesus is the image of the invisible God. (Colossians 1:15, Exodus 33:20). Joseph Smith was also visited by a so-called angel named Moroni, who supposedly told him about a secret manuscript, written on golden plates, telling the true Gospel.
He was to translate this into the Book of Mormon. It's interesting, call it a coincidence, but in the Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey, in the list under "In fernal Names," there is a god known as, "Mormo," which is the god of the living dead, and the king of the Ghouls. The followers of Mormo, are also called Mormons. Maybe why they also use the other name Latter Day Saints?
Mormons believe that long ago from an unknown god and goddess, was born a man named Elohim who was later born to human parents, and he lived his life and became a god like his parents. He is also claimed to have fathered many children. Two of them in particular are named, Jesus, and the other is Lucifer. Jesus and Lucifer are apparently brothers, which is unbiblical. Jesus is God.
They decided to put all of Elohim's many children on a planet, and that the planet needed a savior, it came down to Jesus and to Lucifer. Jesus won because He had unselfish reasons. But then Lucifer rebelled and turned many of Elohim's children against Him, and they were banished to the earth, never to have physical bodies. The people who were on the side of Jesus were very light skinned. The people who remained neutral in the battle, their skin turned black and this is the Mormon explanation for the black race; obviously contributing to racism and slavery. When the Bible is against slavery. (Jeremiah 34:10, 1 Corinthians 7:23).
Mormons believe after the War in Heaven, the people were sent to Earth, and Elohim came to earth to have sex with Mother Mary, and that is how Jesus came to Earth to be in the flesh.
They also believe that Jesus took three wives while on Earth: Mary, Martha, and Mary Magdalene and that Jesus fathered many Children during His time on Earth, and that Joseph Smith their founder was a direct descendant of Jesus. They believe that after a life of Mormonism and a Mormon marriage has taken place, that when they die they will become gods. They will have their own planet, and many goddess wives, and their job for eternity will be to populate the planets...
You can see how extra-Biblical this all is, can't you? The only thing of all of this belief above that is stated in the Bible is the War in Heaven, (Revelation 12:9) other than that, nothing of this is true/Biblical, it is mere assumption and imagination.
Joseph Smith, was a 33rd degree Freemason. This explaining all the Occult practices within this religion. As well as the design of the Mormon Temples, the all-seeing eye on their churches, pyramid symbolism and other Satanic/Freemason symbols. Don't believe me? The entrance to the Salt Lake City, Utah, Mormon Temple, above the door... Notice the all-seeing eye. At this same temple, above the entrance there is a carving of a Masonic handshake, as well. Illuminati.
Freemasonry denies the Biblical declaration that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven (John 14:6). To be accepted into a Lodge you have to be a theist, so Freemasons teach that there are many paths to the light as long as you believe in a god. The Bible condemns this philosophy as damnable heresy (Acts 4:12).
Now time to expose these heresies. Let's take a look at the Book of Mormon itself... Along with Mormon Doctrine and comparing it all to the Bible...
When Mormons come to your door, they will insist you read the Book of Mormon and pray on it. Which there is no need to pray on it because by accepting the Book of Mormon, you accept Joseph Smith as a prophet and he has already failed the test God has already instructed us to do for False Prophets. Matthew 7 and 24. In fact, Mormons themselves say, "Convince us of our errors of doctrine, if we have any." LDS Apostle Orson Pratt, The Seer, Page 15. However, most Mormons will have their loyalty still lie with Joseph Smith over Jesus Christ. Their loyalty lies not with Lord Jesus and The Bible, but with Joseph Smith and Doctrinal writings.
Mormons believe that the Book of Mormon contains the "fullness of the gospel." The Book of Mormon says so itself in its introduction. But in truth, I advice you to read, Galatians 1:6-7 - "6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ."
Though, there is really very little doctrinally wrong teachings in The Book of Mormon, except for having some extra-Biblical things. The real heresy of Mormonism is found in their other scriptures of Doctrinal writings... The Doctrine and Covenants, The Pearl of Great Price, Articles of Faith by James Talmage, Journal of Discourses by Joseph Smith, etc. I notice Mormon Doctrine contradicts with The Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith himself was a walking contradiction...
Book of Mormon says... There is only one God. Mosiah 15:1, 5; Alma 11:28; 2 Nephi 31:21. Mormon Doctrine... Teaches there are many gods. Joseph Smith was a Polytheistic. History of the Church 6:474 and Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Volume 6, Page 5. Compare to Exodus 20:3 - "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
The Book of Mormon...The Trinity is one God. Alma 11:44; Mosiah 15:5; 2 Nephi 31:21. Mormon Doctrine... The Trinity is three separate gods. The Mormon Trinity is God the Father, His son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. They are separate. Father God & Jesus have glorified bodies of their own, the Spirit does not have a body... This, is heresy to say Father and Son are separate entities... Compare, John 10:30 - "I and my Father are one." I will debunk the Trinity in my next article.
Book of Mormon... God is unchanging. Mormon 9:9, 19; Moroni 8:18; Alma 41:8; 3 Nephi 24:6. Mormon Doctrine... God is increasing in knowledge... Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Volume 6, Page 120. Compare, God is unchanging... Malachi 3:6 - "For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed." He has all knowledge, not still learning... 1 John 3:20 - "For whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything."
Book of Mormon... God is spirit. Alma 18:24, 28; 22:9, 11. Mormon Doctrine... God is a man. Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Volume 6, Page 3. Joseph Smith declared that "God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens!" Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Page 345. This is clearly not Biblical or can even be considered Blasphemy.
"This is plain and simple heresy. Nowhere does the Bible say or imply that God was ever a man, or that man can become God! Malachi 3:6 says, 'For I am the LORD, I change not...' How could this be true if God was once a man? Genesis 1:1 states that God existed 'in the beginning' before man was ever created. John 4:24 states that God is a 'spirit,' and Jesus tells us in John 1:18 that no man has seen God at any time. Numbers 23:19 says that 'God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man that he should repent.' God has always been God, and no one has ever 'become' God." -Quote by Pastor James Melton
Book of Mormon... Eternal Hell. Jacob 3:11; 6:10; 2 Nephi 19:16; 28:21-23. Mormon Doctrine... Hell is not eternal. James Talmage, Articles of Faith, Page 55. Compare... Matthew 25:46 - "And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
Revelation 20:10 - "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
Joseph Smith is one of the many false prophets.
Necromancy... Journal of Discourses, Volume 2, Page 44-46. Mormons are very affluent with the dead. They claim to be visited regularly by dead family members. They are being deceived By demons. They actually believe that through prayer, these people can receive salvation even in death. They associate very much with the dead. Compare... Deuteronomy 18:10-12 - There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things [are] an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Book of Mormon... Polygamy condemned. Jacob 1:15; 2:23, 24, 27, 31; 3:5; Mosiah 11:2, 4; Ether 10:5, 7. Mormon Doctrine... Polygamy was taught and practiced. Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Volume 3, Page 266. Some Mormon Sects are still practicing today. "Prophet" Joseph Smith condemns it in his Book of Mormon, then goes and practices it himself. Hypocrite. He breaks God's law stated in Bible not to have multiple wives (Deuteronomy 17:17, 1 Timothy 3:2.) He breaks his own commandments in his Book of Mormon and God's commandments in the Bible. An angel of God wouldn't force him to have multiple wives when God himself condemns it. This was Satan's work.
Galatians 1:8-9 - "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."
What Mormonism was infamous for was Polygamy, even though many Mormon sects no longer allow polygamy, there are 89 sects within Mormonism alone and they are in disagreement with each other, in the sects where polygamy is not allowed, the members are excommunicated if they practice it... President Gordon B. Hinckley, prior president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS) made the following statement in 1998 about the Church's position on plural marriage: "This Church has nothing whatever to do with those practicing polygamy. They are not members of this Church... If any of our members are found to be practicing plural marriage, they are excommunicated..."
But they did practice it and many still do, justifying it because of Jacob and David, etc. taking multiple wives... The Book of Mormon was against Polygamy, yet Joseph Smith had multiple wives, saying an angel of God commanded him to do so. I doubt that, but before I get ahead of myself you're probably asking... "What is wrong with Polygamy? Many in Old Testament had multiples wives."
The Israelites did a lot of things that trespassed God, that doesn't make what they did right. They sacrificed babies, had bloodlust, conformed to pagan practices. This is why the Prophets of Israel were always rebuking them, God constantly scolding their ways, yet being long suffering with Israel.
But the Difference between King David and Joseph Smith... Both Polygamist, but why is King David more righteous? David was an adulterer and a murderer. King David was probably a worse sinner than Joseph Smith, but why is David more righteous?
Because he is HUMBLE and not justifying his sin. After David's sin, the Lord sent him Nathan the prophet to confront him. (2 Samuel 12). David didn't deny or make excuses, David repents... "I have sinned against the Lord." (2 Samuel 12:13). Also, let us not forget Psalm 51...
Joseph Smith never had repentance, he made excuses saying angels of The Lord commanded him to take multiple wives. Really? Not according to Scripture...
1 Timothy 3:2 ~ "The overseer then must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, an able teacher."
1 Corinthians 7:2 ~ "But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband." Wife, singular, not wives.
Deuteronomy 17:17 ~ "And he shall not acquire many wives for himself, lest his heart turn away, nor shall he acquire for himself excessive silver and gold."
I highly doubt that he was speaking with the Lord's angel, maybe Satan pretending to be an angel of Light. (2 Corinthians 11:14) Beware of false prophets, my brethren. (Matthew 7:15)
If someone is contradicting the Bible, God's Holy Word, don't listen to them...
Matthew 22:29 ~ "Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God."
2 Timothy 3:15-17 ~ "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."
Mark 7:7-9 ~ "Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition."
Where does your loyalty lie... With Jesus or Joseph Smith? These two differ in beliefs so who will you side with? You cannot serve two masters. I will remind you Jesus is the one who died for you... Not Joseph Smith...
